Changing composition of the ForFarmers Management Board

Steven Read, Director Purchasing, Pricing & Formulation will be taking on additional tasks in the ForFarmers Management Board as Supply Chain Director as per 1 January 2017. He will take over the responsibilities of Nico de Vos, Director Operations & Supply Chain, who has decided to step down as director of ForFarmers after having worked for the company for 28 years.

Given the fact that Nico’s responsibilities have a lot in common with, and are complementary to, the focus areas of Steven Read’s current position as the Director Purchasing, Pricing & Formulation, it was decided to combine both roles in a new one: Supply Chain Director to be effective as of January 1, 2017.

Nico de Vos will stay on as our representative in industry bodies where this is appropriate, and as advisor on several projects in his expertise areas.

Changing composition of the ForFarmers Management Board

Adrie van der Ven will be joining the ForFarmers Management Board with effect from 1st February 2016 as the company’s COO. Within his role as COO, Van der Ven will be responsible for the activities in Belgium and Germany, as well as ForFarmers’ international expansion beyond the current core regions. Van der Ven currently holds the position of CEO of the Animal Nutrition Business Unit at Louis Dreyfus Commodities in Singapore. Before this he worked, amongst others, for Hendrix UTD at Nutreco and as the Animal Nutrition Purchasing Director at Nutreco.

Adrie van der Ven will be succeeding Ronald van de Ven, COO ForFarmers Belgium and Germany. Ronald van de Ven, member of the ForFarmers Management Board since 2012, has played a crucial role in the integration of Hendrix UTD within ForFarmers, following the takeover in 2012.
It is a joint decision that Ronald van de Ven will start looking for a new challenge outside of ForFarmers. He will be handing his tasks over to his successor during the forthcoming period. ForFarmers would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his long and valuable contribution to the company.
