To help think through our ESG (sustainability) policy and also keep us on our toes, ForFarmers has an internal Task Force. We also have the ESG Advisory Board with external representatives from the retail, research environment and the agricultural sector in general. Its purpose is to provide input from various stakeholders on ForFarmers’ ESG policy, discuss current affairs and focus on sector-specific elements related to ESG topics.
Early this year, this Advisory Board was reinstated and the new composition is now as follows:
- Pieter Wolleswinkel (CEO and chairman of the Advisory Board), Ilse Niehof (Corporate Affairs & Legal director) and Henry Verwaijen (ESG director) on behalf of ForFarmers
- Erwin Wunnekink (Supervisory Board ForFarmers)
- Alex Datema (Rabobank)
- Prof. Dr. Ir. Leo den Hartog
- Dr Sanne Griffioen-Roose (FrieslandCampina)
- Marc Jansen (Centraal Bureau Levensmiddelenhandel/Central Food Trade Office)
With the (partly) new line-up, we have valuable knowledge and expertise on board, which will undoubtedly help us in further developing our ESG approach with the aim of taking responsibility for a sustainable future, working closely with farmers and other partners in the chain.
